Winners Song a Winner? Three Stars

Published by llwesman at 7:39 am under Music Edit This

Sure it’s a little bizzare that the singer “Geraldine McQueen” is actually British comedian Peter Kay singing in drag. But for some odd reason the “Winner’s Song” actually is somewhat catchy and has a little silly melody to it.

The words are a clear poke at American Idol and Simon Cowell as well as the entire idea of reality TV. The song is worth a listen though and its not the worst thing I’ve ever heard. I gave it three stars because its definitely something different than most music listeners are used to, for better or for worse. Enjoy. Or don’t.

Be sure to check back on a daily basis to find new music from all genres! The ratings for each song will be listed in the title and are based on a five star rating system.

Ratings key:
One Star - Not even worth the download, nails on a chalkboard
Two Stars - A song only a fan of the artist is going to enjoy.
Three Stars - Average track to listen to while reading or in the car, something that wouldn’t cause you to change the station and you might recognize.
Four Stars - A song you definitely recognize that has a catchy chorus at the least, worth having on a playlist.
Five Stars - All time great track for rocking out, not only do you know all the words but you know all the dance moves that go with it.
