Rise Against’s “Appeal to Reason” A Reasonable Follow Up (Part Two)

Hero of War” is a different look at the band in an acoustic light. While it was interesting to see their range of talents, the band’s strength lie in its traditional hard hitting guitar chords and harsh lyrics as opposed to this style.
In tribute to the political discontent the band seems to endure in their lyrics, the title of the album is taken from the Socialist Party of America 1897 newspaper comprised of the writings of influential political figures and thinkers including Karl Marx.
Coming off the success of “Sufferer,” which was certified “Gold” by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the band replaced guitarist Chris Chasse with Zach Blair. Chasse, according to the band’s website, left the band because of the rigorous touring schedule. “Appeal” is their first release with Blair and the transition seems to have been seamless.
The “Appeal to Reason” tour will visit the Bay Area Nov. 8 at San Jose State. The album is available through DGC Records as well as on iTunes, where it reached the number one ranking on its release Oct. 7.
Wow I will check this out as I love different styles of music from soukous to rock.
