Haste The Day’s Dreamer Not Quite So Dreamy (Part 2)

“Mad Man,” the second single on the album, would also fit into the category of a fusion type of track featuring both metal and rock sounds. The song is an intense look at confusion and the world.

Overall the album is not one easy to listen to if not an avid listener of hard metal vocals and screaming lyrics. Although the rock inspired choruses are strong and catchy, the somewhat overwhelming screaming lyrics overshadow an effort that likely would otherwise catch mainstream listeners.

The general sound of the album is could be best described as a hybrid of the bands 30 Seconds to Mars and Godsmack. The constant pain in the vocal choruses combined with the incessant screaming make it out to be an odd stepchild in two possibly incommensurable genres of music.
