Viva La Vida Lives the Life as Coldplay Rises to a New Level
Coldplay has long been a successful band at the mainstream level and is a respected producer of strong pop tunes. The band’s latest release, “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends” is their strongest release to date and takes them beyond music group to the level of pop icons. Drawing comparisons to U2 as influential artists, Coldplay really stepped it up for this album putting out powerful hits beginning with the ubiquitous title track, “Viva La Vida” a politically charged song with entrancing beats that you can’t help but listen over and over again.
The rest of the album is no slouch, including the other title track, “Death and All His Friends” and the acoustic song “Lost,” which pulls you in with its haunting vocals. A huge hit and an album filled with potential top hits. Something you’ll be able to listen to for years to come. Overall Grade – A+
